Reverend Larcenaous LeRoy Williams a native Washingtonian was also raised in Trinity AME Zion Church where he was baptized by the late Dr. John H. Satterwhite at the age of 1.
He attended Cardozo High School here in Washington, DC and DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Arizona where he received an ET degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He then went on to work for Rockwell International Collins Avionics Division and later RCA while they were subcontracted to the N.A.S.A. Space Shuttle Project and the US Air Force Eastern Missile Test Range System, in Cape Canaveral Fla.
On September 1981 he returned to Washington DC and Trinity (at our previous location on Park Road) when he elected to dedicate full-time care to his terminally ill father. After experiencing his father's ordeal he found new meaning to Christ's sufferings, confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and began a new life with God.
On July 17, 1990 while at our present location, Bishop Richard K. Thompson (Then Pastor) requested his involvement in the Trinity Academy for Officers where after graduating he became a member of the Board of Stewards. Rev. Williams later confessed his call into the ministry and on May 26, 1996 after completing 4 years of AMEZ Conference Studies was ordained an Elder by Bishop Milton Alexander Williams.
On September 30, 2000 he was married by both Bishop Milton A. Williams and Bishop Warren M. Brown to his wife Delorna at the Episcopal Residence and has two daughters Aleah and Courtnee, son in law Gregg and two grandchildren Oliviah and Othniel.
He recently returned to the Trinity ministerial staff after retiring February 01, 2011 from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority where he worked as a High Voltage Technician and went on to manage the Authority's Systems Maintenance Operations and Control Center for 27 years.
Rev. Williams has been authorized by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia Marriage Bureau to serve as Officiant in the celebration of the rites of marriage.
Rev. Williams was recently appointed by Pastor Kelly as the Minister of Artistic Expression here at Trinity. He has also been appointed Asst. Grand Chaplain of the Prince Hall Most Worshipful Grand Lodge in Washington DC: Chaplain of the Washington Performing Arts Society Men & Women of the Gospel Choir; Chaplain of the Cardozo High School Alumni Marching Band all of which he actively participates artistically and spiritually while expressing the multifaceted movement of God.
His motto is, "First things First". Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
